.'August Rush' [04 Sep 2007|01:40pm]
To everyone who participated in the survey mentioned in an earlier entry, thank you very much for your time and efforts in filling it out. It's now closed and no further input need be given; there was so much that I now need to sit and read through.

It's very much appreciated and gave a clear idea of some matters pertaining to this film.

August Rush survey. [29 Aug 2007|02:53pm]
A survey's being conducted about August Rush; it's simply to know what everyone knows about the film and to possibly help determine the course of something being written about the film (content, format etc).

Whoever answers it, I thank you now in advance. Any problems with answering questions due to technical fault, email whatdoeslooking@livejournal.com (or @yahoo.com) so it can be fixed.

Thanks so much.

Hook Music Video - Rob Thomas' Little Wonders [16 Jul 2007|10:54am]
Hey everyone.

I decided to take a break from editing TV shows, and do a tribute to one of my favorite films - Hook starring Robin Williams, Julia Roberts, and Dustin Hoffman. This is mainly from Peter's POV as he re-discovers his alter ego Peter Pan. It is set to Little Wonders by Rob Thomas, which seemed like a perfect fit for the film.

Robin Williams admits himself into rehab [10 Aug 2006|01:17pm]

[ mood | sympathetic ]

Robin reportedly entered the residential rehab facility last month. Today, the 55-year-old actor's rep released the following statement to ET: "After 20 years of sobriety, Robin Williams found himself drinking again and has decided to take proactive measures to deal with this for his own well-being and the well-being of his family. He asks that you respect his and his family's privacy during this time. He looks forward to returning to work this fall to support his upcoming film releases."

Good for Robin. I'm glad that he admitted to having a problem and is doing something about it. It takes a lot of courage to do that.

Robin....you'll get through it. I have much faith in you. With the support of your family, friends and fans, how can you not overcome this event in your life once again? You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. For those who want to send your support, go to these two websites:

Man Of The Year - October 13th! [03 Aug 2006|01:52pm]

[ mood | excited ]

Here is the trailer for the movie Man Of The Year! Click here for the best movie!
I can't wait for this movie to come out, because mixing Robin Williams (basically playing himself: a comedian) and politics (especially him running for President) is the movie for me!

What is it about you ask? Well, here you go:

What would happen if one of the funniest men became its leading one? Oscar Winner Robin Williams reunites up with the director of Good Morning, Vietnam to answer just that question in a comic tale of an entertainer's accidental rise to power, Man of the Year.

Acerbic Performer Tom Dobbs has made his career out of skewering politicians and speaking the mind of the exasperated nation on his talk show. He cracked scathing jokes at a factured system night after night until he came up with a really funny idea: Why not run for president himself?

After a flip moment, Dobbs ignites a grassroots movement that puts him on the ballot. Hot on the campaign trail, he debates elected drones and says exactly what frustrated voters have often thought. Nov. 2nd later, the muckraker wins - only to learn that a computer voting error gave him the victory. With the time ticking on the inaugural clock, Dobbs has a big decision to make: Should he go back behind the mike or stay in the Oval Office?

This election season, comic actors, including Laura Linney, Christopher Walken, Jeff Goldblum and Lewis Black join Robin Williams in a pulled-from-the-headlines comedy. Together with Oscar winner Barry Levinson, they'll shhow the world that - only in America - a comedian can become the country's next president and our Man of the Year.

A couple of RW clips from YouTube [29 Jul 2006|11:18pm]

[ mood | busy ]

This one is a video that I just made today from the movie The Fisher King. Its an amazing movie, and I think that those who have not seen it yet should go rent it and watch it. I'm just so suprised that Robin didn't get the Oscar for his performance in this movie.

Robin's Return: Williams goes back to stand-up

Robin Williams is planning a return to stand-up, with a tour of the US.

He says he wants a break from movies to go back on stage, saying there’s no experience to match performing to a live audience.

‘Stand-up is part of the dream,’ he said. ‘That's [for] later on when I go home this summer, take a little while off, and then start going on the road again, working in clubs. I've been doing a lot of movies.’

Williams, 55, has always kept his hand in with stand-up, frequently performing unannounced at clubs near his Hollywood home.

‘I don't prepare, it's fun. I like the interplay. I like improvising at a small theatre on Franklin and have been having a good time doing that,’ he told the Sydney Morning Herald.

‘I don't want to cocoon myself. I think the idea is to keep yourself in the game, still hitting the ball, being out among people.
‘It feels good when it works and when it doesn't work there's nothing harder. There are times when it doesn't work and you go, “OK, I learned that.” But when it works, it's wonderful and if you really find new stuff, it's great.'
